Six questions first.

A VO₂ max test is a maximal effort test. These questions tell us whether it is safe for you to do one, or whether you should speak to a physician first.

  • 01Have you ever been told you have a heart condition, or that you should only exercise under medical supervision?
  • 02Do you get chest pain, pressure or tightness during or after physical activity?
  • 03Have you had shortness of breath at rest, or fainting or dizziness on exertion, in the last twelve months?
  • 04Do you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a heart or lung condition currently under investigation?
  • 05Are you currently pregnant?
  • 06Is there any bone, joint or muscle problem that could be made worse by hard exercise?
